Release notes for sofiasip-gaim-prpl version 1.1.1

Sofiasip-gaim-prpl (formerly ssip-gst) is an open-source SIP/SIMPLE
plugin library, compliant with the IETF RFC3261 specification. It can
be used with Gaim as a SIP client software for uses such as VoIP, IM
and presence. Media support is integrated using GStreamer.
   Sofiasip-gaim-prpl is built on top of Sofia-SIP, which is based on
a SIP stack developed at the Nokia Research Center. Sofiasip-gaim-prpl
is licensed under the GPL. Sofiasip-gaim-prpl aims to leverage
features of the cool Gaim UI for Sofia-SIP library usage.


Changes since last release

- works now also in Mac OS X (using XDarwin)
- renamed package to sofiasip-gaim-prpl
- plugin now supports HTTP tunneling using HTTP CONNECT
- applied patch for authenticating PUBLISH by Fredrik Thulin
- applied bug fix for authenticated SUBSCRIBE by Fredrik Thulin.

indicates stable and odd x unstable releases.

Known issues / bugs

- Crashes with GStreamer 0.8.11 and Ubuntu 5.10 "The Breezy Badger"
  for yet unknown reason

- Plugin can be compiled for Windows in Cygwin/MinGW environment,
  author has not been able to run it properly
